we believe in community

Monthly student service projects

The September service project is “Cosgriff Cares for the Carmelites”.  We are blessed to have the Carmelite sisters as part of our Utah Catholic Community.  Their prayerful devotion to their vocation is inspiring, here is their website:

Unfortunately their major fundraiser, the Carmelite Fair usually held in September, was cancelled last year and this year.  As part of community recognition and support we will collect donations for the Carmelites until Tiger Tuesday on September 28th.  The class bringing in the most donations by the 28th will earn an extra 30 minute PE class with Ms. Hopkins.

Checks may be made payable to Cosgriff School and write Carmelites in the memo line.

Community Service

The J.E. Cosgriff Student Leadership Council carefully selects monthly service project for the entire school community to support. Some past projects include Thanksgiving dinner baskets for St. Patrick’s Parish, collecting food and item donations for the Utah Food Bank, YWCA, and the Road Home. Fundraising for foundations and organizations such as the Humane Society of Utah, Homeless Youth Resource Center and Catholic Relief Services. Students also perform for Parish Senior groups and knit scarves and hats for the St. Ambrose Parish Giving Tree  and Huntsman Cancer Institute.
