October

Please cast your vote today for very our own Jim Larson to be crowned the King of the Kilts! Jim is one of the Good Men & Kilts, for pediatric patient families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area. This year more than 3,500 Intermountain Area families of seriously ill or injured children will find a home away from home at our local Ronald McDonald House. We can provide meaningful support for families traveling far distances to access specialty pediatric medical care. Each vote can be cast for a donation of $25, voting is open Oct. 1 – 31st, and all votes (charitable gifts) are tax deductible. We are so proud and grateful to have Jim stepping forward in a kilt for this worthy cause. Please rally our Cosgriff community and give your donations today at http://goodmenrmhc.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1047088&supid=440254466

November

It has become a tradition that during the month of November, our community service outreach supports families in St. Patrick’s Parish on 400 South 1000 West.  Each grade level will be asked to collect different Thanksgiving dinner food items during the month. In addition, the Student Council will sponsor money raising activities for the purchase of grocery store gift cards. On November 18, “School Families” will assemble the different food items in boxes. These boxes along with a gift card for a frozen/fresh turkey will be given to over 45 families in St. Patrick’s Parish.  Some families in St. Ambrose Parish are served as well.

December

The Student Council service project for December 2016 is two-fold. One, to continue our support of St. Patrick’s parish. Many young children and elderly men and women (who are often forgotten this time of year) are in great need of warm clothing and other necessities. You are asked to donate new or slightly used (clean) warm-ups/sweat suits in all sizes, (small to XL for adults), gloves, hats, sweaters, socks, coats, snow pants, boots, long sleeve shirts, and other warm clothing. Smaller size new containers of hygiene essentials are greatly needed, such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, lotion, shaving cream, wipes, deodorant etc. Second, The Road Home, a social service agency that assists individuals and families who are homeless in Salt Lake City is in great need of new or slightly used, clean blankets.  Please place all items in front of the office.
